I am Not Alone
At our deepest, darkest, and ugliest moment, God will never leave us. If we just let Him, He will be beside us and He will gladly guide us back towards Him.
I simple love the lyrics of the song "I am Not Alone" by Kari Jobe which I have heard beautifully sang for the first time last Sunday at church. The song reminds me of God's goodness, comfort, and love during times of sadness and trials in my life. Even though the situation is difficult, I was able to find rest and joy in Him. Truly knowing God and Jesus is the best thing that had happened to me. I am indeed blessed.
So if you're going through something hard right now, don't despair. Lay down all your concerns to Him. It may not be miraculously solved but know that our Almighty God is always in control. He will see you through this. He will be your refuge. He will be your strength.
As Psalm 23: 4, which happened to be where the song "I am Not Alone" is based from, says
When I walk through deep waters
I know that You will be with me
When I'm standing in the fire
I will not be overcome
Through the valley of the shadow
I will not fear
I am not alone
I am not alone
You will go before me
You will never leave me
In the midst of deep sorrow
I see Your light is breaking through
The dark of night will not overtake me
I am pressing into You
Lord, You fight my every battle
And I will not fear
I am not alone
I am not alone
You will go before me
You will never leave me
You amaze me
Redeem me
You call me as Your own
You're my strength
You're my defender
You're my refuge in the storm
Through these trials
You've always been faithful
You bring healing to my soul
I am not alone
I am not alone
You will go before me
You will never leave me
So if you're going through something hard right now, don't despair. Lay down all your concerns to Him. It may not be miraculously solved but know that our Almighty God is always in control. He will see you through this. He will be your refuge. He will be your strength.
As Psalm 23: 4, which happened to be where the song "I am Not Alone" is based from, says
"Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me." (ESV)
Let the Lord be the Shepherd of your life and you will never be alone.
As for us, who are currently happy and not going through difficult times, let's be the hand that the Lord uses to uplift someone's mood. Even in the simplest way like a warm smile, we can bring joy to someone.
Yours,
Lady
