Friends, Babies, and The Morning After
Ten
years of friendship. It has been a decade since Michelle, Candy, and I became
friends.
We
started as co-teachers at the Biñan Campus of AMA Computer College. I am a
Chemistry and Physics instructor while Michelle taught Computer Science
subjects and Candy taught Information Technology subjects. Since we are the
only female, unmarried instructors back then we instantly bonded together.
Over
the years, Michelle and Candy’s careers have changed as I continued teaching.
Michelle for quite some time even went abroad to work. Yet despite of us
working in different fields, our friendship remains and we tried to see and
talk to each other as often as we could.
Our
love stories with our respective husbands are actually quite similar. All of us
came from difficult and unsatisfying long-term relationships when we met the
guy we would promise to love for the rest of our lives. From single, unattached
ladies the three of us are now all happily married with our “hunk” husbands and
with babies in our arms.
Their
future heart breaker babies are actually my godchildren. It is our hope that our
kids will become good friends like us in the future.

Last
weekend, the three of us along with our hubbies and babies met up to celebrate
Michelle’s birthday. Actually Michelle’s husband Rick was unable to join us as
he was feeling under the weather that day and opted to stay at home to rest.
Because of this, we were able to fit in one car instead of having separate
rides which means more chat time.
We
head over to Nuvali for our supposed to be early dinner. Well, the term dinner
is not really correct as we decided to try the fares from The Morning After.
I
love breakfast even though I’m not an early riser. I am a self confessed night
owl. Instead of waking up at dawn to study like most people, I’d rather stay up
late to read and study. I usually get up from the bed at around 9 in the morning
which is not too late for me to be able to enjoy a plate of breakfast.
Breakfast
is considered as the most important meal of the day. It gives us the energy we
require to start a new day. Aside from that, breakfast eaters are said to be
leaner, have lower cholesterol level, better memory and concentration, and more
strength and endurance than breakfast skippers. Of course, these are only true
for healthy breakfast eaters.
Having
breakfast is truly a comforting and joyful experience for me. I just adore the
smell of garlic in my fried rice. I enjoy breaking the yolk of a perfectly
cooked sunny side up and seeing it flow smoothly. I like dipping longganisa in
spiced vinegar and smearing maple syrup on my pancakes. Also, who doesn’t love crunchy
bacon? Indeed, I can eat breakfast any time of the day and I know a lot of you
also do. This is what The Morning After offers. Great breakfast meals all day
every day at their lovely restaurant.
The
Morning After is located at the ground floor of Solenad 3 in Nuvali. They offer
both indoor and alfresco dining for their customers.

Their
menu is quite extensive. From Filipino favorites to international offerings,
whatever breakfast meal you are craving for most probably The Morning After serves it. These
are what we have:
Michelle
also ordered their Classic Pancakes (155 Php) which is a stack of two homemade
pancakes served with warm maple syrup and whipped butter for Kyle but since
Kyle preferred his mom’s meal all of us got to have a bite of the pancake. We
all liked it.
The Morning After welcomes their kid guests with an activity sheet and colors to occupy themselves while waiting for their food to arrive. Only Aki was old enough to enjoy this but this is a nice touch.
I
would like to commend their staff for being courteous and fast in their
service. We will definitely be back to try their other offerings. Their
Breakfast Bagnet, Breakfast Pizza, Breakfast Maki, and Churros look appetizing.
I also have to be back for the cocktail version of their drinks.
The Morning After is open daily.
Mon-Thurs: 8am-9pm

Time
flies so fast when you are having fun. Since our babies have to be in their
beds soon, it is an early night for us. Girls, we must schedule a date just for
the three of us without the hubbies and the babies. Hahaha….
Thanks
for the ten years of friendship with you and I hope we will have more!
#xoxo
