Bouncing at Bounce Trampoline Park

Like any child, my little Queen B loves to jump. When we are taking a stroll, she shows her joy by jumping or skipping ahead of us. At night-time, our bed serves as her personal trampoline. And when she sees me doing jumping jacks, she always imitates me. So when I heard about the newly opened Bounce Trampoline Park at SM Southmall, I immediately invited my friends and their energetic sons to a play date and of course, some chitchat with them.

After a late, hearty lunch of ramen, gyoza, and chahan at Tetsu Japanese Restaurant, our group happily headed towards Bounce Trampoline Park. The kids can't contain their excitement when they saw the huge play area.

While waiting for our turn
Upon arrival, you will be asked to register using their computer terminals in which you have to type in your name, age, and choose whether you will be availing the one-hour package or the unlimited package. Their regular rates are:

Weekdays, Weekends, and Holidays:
           - 299 Php 1st hour per person
           - 199 Php extra hour

Unlimited:
            - 499 Php per person
            - weekdays: 30 slots available
            - weekends and holidays: 20 slots available

Students with ID:
            - 225 Php 1st hour per person
            - 199 Php extra hour

Toddlers (1-5 years old):
            - 249 Php per child including parent/guardian

Trampoline grip socks must be worn at all times inside the trampoline park. Bounce Philippines sell rubberized safety socks for 99 Php a pair. But if you already have one, you can use it as long as they are still in good condition. T-shirts and other merchandise are also available for sale.

After registering, your next step is the cashier for payment. This is also where they will put your entrance wristbands. The wristbands are color coded so as to avoid over-staying. After the payment section, if you avail of their socks (which we did) you will be asked to go to their socks section where the size of your feet will be asked.

Five minutes before your chosen time slot, you will be asked to watch their introduction and guidelines video presentation in their waiting area. This presentation shows what you should and should not be doing inside like you should jump in the middle of the trampoline to avoid accidents. In the waiting area, cabinets are also available for storage of your shoes. Lockers can be rented for your valuables, but since the husbands opted to wait outside while the moms and the kids go inside, we no longer availed this service.
Ready to play

Waiting and Introduction Area
At promptly four in the afternoon, we were allowed to go inside where the kids immediately headed towards the play area for young children. This section has two basketball rings, 3 slides, a climbing frame, various obstacle courses, and lots and lots of foam to play with.

At first, she was very careful when passing through here but later she became more confident with her balancing skills.

She saw the other kids making a wall so she made her own. She called it her house.

After trying out the attractions of the play area for young children, we checked out the trampolines section. According to their website, they have 81 trampolines. There is an area if you want to slam dunk like a pro, a section where you can play dodgeball, various climbing areas, and even a balance beam to practice your gymnastic moves. We weren't able to try all of them for safety reasons.

We rarely visit play areas so our experience at Bounce Trampoline Park is a sweet treat for our little Queen B. She spent a sizable time practicing her shooting skills at the basketball rings. I was already wondering if she would like to learn basketball.

We had an amazing time in the foam section. Navigating that area is harder than it looks.
Playing with her Kuya Kyle.

I joined in the fun!
We also enjoyed jumping in the trampoline section though we only tried it for a short while before heading back to the kids' play area.

According to www.under5s.co.nz, not only are trampolines fun, they also offer many physical, health, and educational benefits for kids. Some of these amazing benefits include:

  • Trampoline teaches persistence as it takes time to master specific skills on a trampoline.
  • It improves self-esteem as the child will gain confidence as he or she masters new skills.
  • It teaches muscle control and coordination. The child will learn how to control the movement of his or her body.
  • It improves the flexibility of the body.
  • It provides a cardiovascular workout as a child's heart rate increases as he or she jumps on the trampoline.
Trampoline exercises are also good for us, adults. Compared to running or jogging, trampoline exercises provide low impact cardiovascular workout. It sure feels like as if I had a workout after running after my little Queen B for an hour. Bringing an extra shirt for you and your kid is highly recommended as well as a bottle or two of water to keep hydrated.

Bounce Trampoline Park also offers birthday packages for a unique birthday celebration. While we were there, a party was going on at their VIP Lounge. So if you're looking for a different experience for the kids this summer vacation, I and my little Queen B highly recommend Bounce Trampoline Park at SM Southmall.
Thanks again for the fun playdate and chikahan.

A happy bonding experience with my little Queen B.
Yours,

Lady
